Job Description Job Title: CT Technologist - Cat Scan Nights Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: Imaging Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 7pm-7am) Experience: Minimum 1 year in Radiology required; less than 1 year in CT preferred; experience with CT Biopsy is a plus License: Radiologic Technology Certification Certifications: ARRT Radiography, ARRT Computed Tomography, Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, detailed-oriented, team player

Description: We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Imaging team for a 13-week assignment on the night shift. You will be responsible for performing complex technical procedures, including a variety of imaging exams, and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care. You will also assist in maintaining equipment, follow department procedures, and use independent judgment to produce diagnostic studies.

Responsibilities include: - Performing all CT and planar imaging studies as per department protocols - Verifying proper clinician order and obtaining complete clinical history for procedures - Adhering to contrast administration protocols to ensure patient safety - Reviewing images for quality assurance and releasing patients post-exam - Maintaining patient dignity, privacy, and comfort throughout the imaging process - Using critical thinking to resolve any ambiguous orders or situations requiring clarification - Preparing the patient and equipment for procedures using sterile techniques where necessary - Reporting malfunctioning equipment promptly and maintaining a clean work environment - Educating patients and family members using AIDET communication - Participating in departmental training and mandatory education

Additional responsibilities: - Operating imaging equipment to ensure the lowest possible dose of ionizing radiation - Responding to emergencies and assisting in the maintenance of life support equipment as needed - Transporting patients and assisting in positioning them for imaging procedures - Maintaining department cleanliness, restocking supplies, and supporting colleagues when needed - Performing clerical duties as needed to ensure continuity and quality of services

Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment. You are expected to work independently while contributing to team goals. Proficiency in anatomy, pathology, and Quality Control tests as per ACR standards is essential.
