Junior Sous Chefs: responsible for preparation, assembly, and final presentation of ingredients according to the company's recipes and specifications and ensuring the quality of cooked/prepared food while utilizing a large range of kitchen skills including slicing, grinding, frying, and baking during food service. The Junior Sous Chefs works directly for the Sous Chef and will assist: prepare requisitions for supplies and food items; detection and disposal of unattractive and spoiled foods; promote workplace safety, food safety, and customer safety; draft working schedules; train subordinate staff (cooks and interns); maintain order and discipline in the kitchen; create tasting menus and customized menus for functions; develop cross-marketing strategy; ensure equipment is in good condition; ensure food assembly line is prepared;and ensure accurate assembly of dishes to be served in a timely manner, as ordered, during all meal services. Must be able to lift and carry food and kitchen supplies weighing up to 50 lbs.Minimum of 4 months experience as a Jr. Sous-chef required.
