Purpose and Scope:

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Provides leadership and participate in the inspection, installation and/or maintenance and repair of electronic equipment and systems. The position is responsible for training subordinate technicians, gathering necessary materials and tools for daily assignments, performing semi-skilled and skilled maintenance and repair work in a timely manner, maintaining accurate work records, and performing related tasks as assigned. The position works under general supervision according to some procedures; decides how and when to complete tasks. Essential Job Functions: 1.Provides leadership and participates in the installation, maintenance and repair of electronics equipment and systems District-wide. 2.Trains and provides guidance and assistance to subordinate technicians as assigned. 3.Assists in scheduling maintenance and repair work. 4.Gathers equipment, materials and supplies needed for assigned projects; requests supplies and materials as necessary. 5.Performs all work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, contracts, permits, and standards of quality and safety. 6.Operates and maintains assigned vehicles, trucks, shop equipment, and power and hand tools. 7.Prepares accurate and complete work records and reports as required. 8.Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns, complaints and requests for assistance regarding areas of responsibility. 9.Attends training and meetings as necessary to enhance job knowledge and skills. 10.Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED, and one year of college or vocational school education in electronics maintenance and repair work is required as well as a valid state driver's license and four (4) years of related experience.
