Quality Manager Summary:
The Mechanical / Dimensional Inspector will be responsible for performing various inspections and measurements of parts to ensure they meet design specifications. This role involves preparing detailed inspection reports and generating quality notifications (QNs) to identify findings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality control or mechanical inspection, with a strong attention to detail and proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings. Qualifications: Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
Preferably CQT and CMI. Experience: 5+ years experience in quality control or mechanical inspection. Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the aptitude to learn new software and systems. Experience using Net Inspect is a plus. Skills: Technical skills to understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and requirement documents. Strong communication skills for interacting with professionals, clients, and other individuals. Problem-solving skills to identify and address issues in products. Excellent attention to detail to ensure all aspects of a product meet customer standards. Knowledge: Working knowledge of Honeywell SPOC requirements and government specifications. Abilities: Must be able to interface with staff and management. Work Environment: Exposure:
Normal machine shop environment. Noise:
Manufacturing equipment. Essential Functions: Inspecting and measuring parts to ensure they meet design specifications. Preparing inspection reports that detail results and generating QNs to identify findings. Duties & Tasks: Perform dimensional and visual inspections of parts and assemblies to drawings and specifications. Utilize a variety of precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs, etc. Understand GD&T requirements and apply them during the inspection process. Document inspection results in accordance with customer requirements (AS9102). Train other inspectors on proper inspection techniques. Perform other duties as assigned.
