Roofing Estimator [28903]

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Roofing Estimator with a strong background in State and Federal estimating for roofing projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in the roofing industry and must be well-versed in various roofing systems and materials. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, has a proven track record of success, and possesses excellent communication skills. The candidate must be comfortable working remotely and capable of handling the demands of a 50-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimating: Perform detailed and accurate estimates for roofing projects, focusing on State and Federal contracts. Must be proficient in estimating for various roofing systems including SBS, Hot/Cold applied, Standing Seam, PVC, TPO, EPDM, Torch, and Tile.
• Systems and Materials: Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of roofing systems and materials from manufacturers such as Garland, JM, GAF, Durolast, Imetco, Kingspan, Drexel, and Mulehyde.
• IMP Experience: Must have experience with Insulated Metal Wall Panels (IMP) and understand the nuances of pricing and installation.
• Supporting Trades Coordination: Accurately source pricing and coordinate with supporting trades, including scaffolding, asbestos abatement, MEP, and fall protection equipment, to ensure comprehensive project estimates.
• Presentation: Present project estimates to General Contractors (GC) when bidding on subprime work, ensuring clarity and precision in communication.
• Project Success: Maintain a track record of stability and success in previous roles, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality work and professional growth.
• Communication: Exhibit high-level communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and effectively.
• Submittal Packages: Ideally, have experience in putting together submittal packages, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in roofing estimation, specifically for State and Federal projects.
• Systems Expertise: Expert-level experience with roofing systems, including SBS, Hot/Cold applied, Standing Seam, PVC, TPO, EPDM, Torch, and Tile.
• Manufacturer Knowledge: Familiarity with roofing products from leading manufacturers (Garland, JM, GAF, Durolast, Imetco, Kingspan, Drexel, Mulehyde).
• IMP Experience: Must have experience working with Insulated Metal Wall Panels (IMP).
• Remote Work: Comfortable with working remotely and managing a 50-hour workweek.
• Track Record: Demonstrated success and stability in previous roles.
• Presentation Skills: Experience presenting project estimates to General Contractors (GC).
• Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Submittal Experience: Experience in preparing submittal packages is a plus.
