Description

The Annual Giving Campaign Coordinator is a part-time position responsible for planning, organizing, and executing the YMCA's Annual Giving Campaign to meet fundraising goals. This individual will engage with staff, volunteers, and community members to inspire philanthropic support that furthers the YMCA's mission of strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Campaign Planning and Execution:
    • Work with the Executive staff team to implement a comprehensive strategy for the Annual Giving Campaign, including timelines, goals, and action plans.
    • Assist with recruitment, training, and support of campaign volunteers.
    • Coordinate and facilitate in, conjunction with Exec. Director, campaign events, meetings, and donor recognition activities.
    • Work with the leadership team and board committee to plan, promote and execute on successful events.
  • Volunteer and Staff Engagement:
    • Work with Y Marketing staff to provide resources, tools, and regular updates to ensure volunteers and staff have what they need to succeed.
    • Build relationships with key campaign leaders to foster commitment and collaboration.
    • Work with Association Sports Director and Event planners to secure new sponsorships and maintain relationships with existing sponsors.
  • Donor Engagement and Stewardship:
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential and current donors.
    • Ensure timely and meaningful acknowledgment of all contributions.
    • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions in the YMCA's database.
  • Communication and Promotion:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to assist with compelling campaign materials and communication strategies.
    • Work with branch staff leaders to gather and share impactful stories of how donations benefit the YMCA's programs and the community.
  • Reporting and Evaluation:
    • Track campaign progress and prepare regular updates for the Executive Director and Board of Advisors.
    • Analyze campaign results to identify areas for improvement and inform future campaigns.
    • Understanding and operation of Bloomerang, QGiv, Daxko software.
  • Meeting Engagement:
    • Serve on the Fundraising Cabinet for the Association.
    • Attend meetings as assigned by the Executive Director.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend and sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and/or assist up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical situations and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency.
  • Ability to view/enter data for long periods of time.
Qualifications
  • HS Degree required, College experience preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum two years experience working with campaigns.
  • Supervisory or leadership skills preferred.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software programs, as well as the ability to use most office equipment is required.
