Cake Decorator

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Consultation: Discuss cake designs with customers to understand their needs, preferences and desired theme.

• Frosting Application: Smoothly apply frosting to cakes using different techniques.

• Decorative Piping: Pipe intricate designs and lettering using various piping bags and nozzles.

• Fondant Work: Roll and apply fondant to create smooth surfaces and decorative elements.
  
  Chocolate Work: Temper and use chocolate to create decorations like ganache, chocolate swirls, or molded shapes.

• Assembly: Layer cakes with fillings, add decorations, and assemble the final cake.

• Presentation: Arrange cakes in display cases and ensure proper labeling.

• Inventory Management: Maintain stock of ingredients, decorations, and supplies.

• Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean working area and sanitize equipment according to food safety standards.

Required Skills:

• Artistic Ability: Excellent hand-eye coordination and strong creative vision for designing cakes.

• Baking Knowledge: Understanding of cake baking techniques and different types of batter

• Icing Skills: Proficiency in various frosting techniques like smooth icing, piping, and stenciling
