Merjent, Inc. (Merjent) is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager with demonstrated success in the environmental consulting field to assist with the implementation of marketing strategies through written collateral, web-based channels, branding and design, and internal and external marketing databases.
The Marketing Manager will also assist staff with coordinating, managing, and preparing proposals.
This is a full-time benefits eligible opportunity. The anticipated annual salary for this position is between $87,600 and $171,500, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

responsibilities
Database Management, which includes:
- organizing and maintaining marketing tools;
- coordinating, updating, and maintaining project descriptions, resumes, company references, proposal language, Statements of Qualification (SOQs), and client contact information;
- tracking wins/losses and following-up with internal staff;
- documenting client feedback on proposals when provided and produce "lessons learned" to improve future proposals; and
- collaborating with internal leadership and managers to develop and maintain employee database of skills, experience, certifications, and training.
- managing the proposal cycle from client request to deliverable;
- facilitating an internal Go/No-Go process;
- developing and maintaining proposal templates;
- maintaining resumes in a consistent format; and
- maintaining up-to-date content in proposal database.
- maintaining and updating SOQs and sell sheets;
- designing marketing collateral graphics and text;
- establishing brand design standards (color, graphics, fonts, formatting) and practices for consistency;
- working with internal leadership and Project Managers to create client presentations; to design and improve the tradeshow booth; and to identify branded items and gifts to clients that align with Merjent and client policies; and
- managing conference/tradeshow schedules and associated marketing materials.
- updating and maintaining Merjent's website and social media presence; and
- reviewing social media analytics and making recommendations to improve existing client engagement and lead generation.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, English, Marketing, Business Management, or related field preferred; however, a Bachelor's degree in another field is acceptable with the appropriate experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive marketing experience for a consulting firm or other company with multiple, concurrent, large business-to-business projects.
- Experience curating, creating, writing, and editing content for technical proposals.
- Experience writing proposal responses in multiple formats including quotation for services, request for proposal responses, and business services proposals.
- Experience managing multiple technical and business services proposals from planning through completion.
- Experience with web strategy and design including web metrics and search engine optimization.
- Experience using social media marketing and social media metrics to enhance business image and branding.
- Experience with Adobe design suite or other graphic design software for web and document preparation.
- Experience with web developer-oriented standards such as HTML and CSS preferred.
- Experience with proposal development software preferred (MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.).
