Test Technician

Zentech is one of the leading and most highly certified U.S. based Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers in North America. We support original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of medical devices, aerospace and defense products, and industrial equipment with engineering & manufacturing solutions. These solutions include product design, printed circuit board layout, test development, and manufacturing support through the whole product lifecycle. We are seeking a Test Technician to work in our Bloomington, IL location.

POSITION SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

The Test Technician is responsible for validating that printed circuit board assemblies meet the customers test requirements, operate, and maintain the test equipment, and troubleshooting assemblies and equipment.

Program, setup, operate, troubleshoot and maintain test equipment

Test and troubleshoot assemblies down to the component level

Accumulates and record test data and failures for materials, devices, and products

Develop troubleshooting guidelines based upon customer input and experience

Work with customers as required to support test equipment and procedures

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience

Ability to pass basic electronics test

Experienced in the use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and other test tools.

Advanced computer skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Office

Must be able to read and interpret work instructions

Physical Demands:

While performing these duties, the employee is required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, reach with hand, and arm, and talk or hear. Employees may be required to lift to 50 lbs.
