Position Description
The Account Manager's primary responsibility is to help The Clearing continue to expand its impact and build its reputation within the Department of Justice (DoJ) by aligning our solutions to current and upcoming DoJ needs and developing and executing strategies to expand the company's business opportunities. The ideal candidate has broad experience and familiarity with the DoJ and can help The Clearing communicate its value to new and existing customers. The Account Manager is accountable for the overall success of the Account, including client success and satisfaction, financial performance, and team effectiveness.

Compensation
The projected salary range for this position is between $131,815.00 and $210,905.00 annually. Actual compensation and starting salaries are determined based on various factors, including the education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and clearance level of the candidate and internal equity. Once at The Clearing, movement through pay bands is based on performance. Base-annual salary is just one component of The Clearing's total compensation philosophy and approach. Physical and Mental Requirements
While performing duties of this job, an employee may be required to perform any, or all of the following: attend meetings in and out of the office, travel (sometimes extensively); occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand; communicate effectively (both orally and in writing); ability to effectively use computers and other electronic and standard office equipment; and occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work is primarily sedentary and involves sitting for several hours at a time. Occasionally walking, climbing stairs, and standing occur in this role. Additionally, this job requires certain mental demands, including the ability to use judgment, withstand moderate amounts of stress, and maintain attention to detail. Requirements
What You'll Do
- Deliver top-line DoJ account growth/revenue generation in alignment with enterprise goals
- Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of DoJ business opportunities
- Partner with the BD team in capture and proposal development processes, including pipeline proposal reviews, pricing strategies, and resourcing within the Account in alignment with market strategy and growth goals
- Serve as capture manager for select opportunities, and support the development of white papers, RFI and RFP responses, and other business development or marketing efforts
- Research and monitor industry trends and market dynamics to inform TC strategy and go-to-market approach for the DoJ Account
- Identify and align TC solutions with DoJ needs to deliver high value and impact to new and existing customers; build and drive the adoption of new delivery solutions
- Establish, nurture, and manage primary client relationships, including by leveraging personal and professional networks with decision-makers and influencers within the DoJ
- Serve as elevation/escalation point for client relationship management
- Identify, evaluate, and manage risks (people, financial, contract, etc.) associated with the Account
- Advise on and support the shaping and scoping of work and validate technical approach
- Participate in marketing and networking efforts to share TC's value proposition and build brand awareness
- Experience and proven ability to lead teams in business development and high quality delivery of services
- Develop and manage staff; contribute to a culture of learning and development to drive individual and organizational growth and performance
- Ensure resources are applied for talent development and performance management, succession planning, methodology development, and the application of best practices across delivery, growth, quality of delivery and customer satisfaction
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company's annual strategy and financial plan
- Translate and demonstrate TC's vision, objectives, and expectations
- Meet annual performance targets (e.g., pipeline, utilization and revenue)
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- 15+ years of professional work experience
- 10+ years managing large-scale consulting projects and/or change management initiatives and client relationships in government contracting
- 5+ years managing people/teams
- 5+ years of business development experience
- Proven track record of capturing and managing net new leads and growing business with current clients
- Familiarity with and relationships within the DoJ
- Federal government contracting portfolio growth experience required
- Proficiency in delivering and/or sales related to change strategy, strategic planning, organizational design, leadership development, process improvement, and/or digital transformation
- Strong group facilitation skills with the ability to achieve desired outcomes when there are high-stakes and high-complexity preferred
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce to manage client interactions and data effectively
- Ability to analyze data to assess account performance, customer behaviors, and opportunities
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites in the surrounding DC and Baltimore metro areas; occasional travel outside of these regions could be expected (5%)
- Critical thinking/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills
- Strong business writing and verbal communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable mindset to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-stakes client environments
- Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance and/or a positive suitability determination by completing necessary background check investigations, to perform client work
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States, now and in the future, without the need for company (The Clearing) visa sponsorship now or in the future
- Desired skills, experiences, and certifications: change management, strategic planning, strategic communication, program management, and/or organizational design experience; PMP and/or Change Management certification (ex.: Prosci)
