As a Communications Intern / Part-Time Employee, you will acquire and develop knowledge in workers compensation insurance, technology, corporate communications (internal & external), project management and support, market research and event planning.
The Communications Coordinator interacts with appropriate internal, and external partners to achieve goals and to ensure that the collateral and other communications reflect the bamtech brand. This includes a broad scope of duties focused on events, marketing, branding and communications initiatives. This role includes marketing content creation, global distribution of communications via email and website platforms, and brand focused quality control across the organization.
This role provides emerging talent with firsthand experience with the commercial insurance industry, enabling you with skills to be successful going forward. Key functions include:
- Work on specific projects with defined tasks and learn from each one.
- Gain experience maintaining a corporate brand presence, internal and external communication tactics and best practices.
- Create compelling and engaging content for marketing materials, including collateral, website copy, intranet content, social media posts, and email campaigns. Ensure consistent brand messaging and tone across all channels.
- Create visually engaging designs that effectively communicate the desired message and meet project goals. Develop and execute creative concepts for communications materials.
- Develop and coordinate email templates and supporting web content for emails updates utilizing mass marketing email tools. This includes responsibility for custom content development and the ongoing management of contact distribution lists.
- Develop and manage social media strategy to support the advancement of the bamtech brand and recruitment initiatives.
- Assist with event planning and coordination for Quarterly Meetings, Annual Meeting, Hack-a-thons, Retreats and Summits including lodging, food, agenda, presentation and internal surveys.
- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills, Microsoft Office proficient, professional demeanor.
- Effective analytical skills to gather information; ability to analyze data, draw conclusions.
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to function independently and follow instructions well.
Education
- Bachelors degree candidates or candidates currently pursuing Bachelors whose chosen career path is in insurance, technology, marketing, communications, or business administration.
