Job Summary:


The HR Manager will be a results-driven HR Manager to align our HR initiatives and functions with business objectives and business needs. The HR Manager is a true generalist with responsibilities in all areas of human resources. This position will specialize in Benefits, Compliance, Policies and Procedures, Leave Management, Performance Management, Recruitment, and be a backup for Payroll.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Maintains organization staff by collaborating with managers on recruiting and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • On boards and off boards all staff members.
  • Conducts orientation and training programs.
  • Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs; recommending benefit programs to management; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; maintaining records.
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
  • Ensures compliance with Leave Management and maintains leave of absence records.
    • Facilitates internal cohesion and shared corporate culture.
    • Ensure HR systems are consistent with and reinforce the corporate culture.
    • Understand payroll process and can act as payroll backup
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of California and other state employment laws
  • Advanced knowledge of BambooHR and Paylocity
  • Must be experience with Payroll process, inputting and procedural steps
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • PHR or SHRM-CP required


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required
  • Ten years of related experience required


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
