Act as a Teir-2 technician for customers seeking support for POTS, ISDN, T-1, and other copper pair related telecom technologies. Skilled in employing TDRs, Multimeters, and Butt Sets and amp and probe, to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot telephone outage, ensuring swift resolution and minimal downtime during system outages. Be Proficient in utilizing Remedy software as a technician to efficiently troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolves technical issues and outage tickets. Identify and address issues promptly, liaising with service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or degraded system performance. Collaborate with partner vendors to facilitate moves, adds, changes, upgrades, and patch management of voice infrastructure. Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely resolution of network outages or periods of reduced performance. Contribute to the documentation of voice systems by providing clear written and verbal communication Basic Qualifications
Associate degree with 2+ years of related experience; additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Knowledge of POTS and ISDN telephony system architectures and configurations. Active CompTIA Security+ Ce certification. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with IT trouble ticket management processes and procedures. Experience with telecommunication systems Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Automatic Call Distributor (ACD)
