Job Description

The

Event Services Associate

performs a variety of set-up related tasks, mostly of a skilled nature, across multiple Events DC Venues, primarily during the overnight shift (10:30pm - 7:00am). The primary task of this position will require the position incumbent to perform routine overnight court conversions for the NBA/G League & WNBA basketball teams. The routine task associated with this role will require the incumbent to perform standard leased space sets which include (Meeting Rooms, Exhibit Halls, & various Public Spaces). Performing coordinated movement of venue assets for operational continuity. These tasks must align with both customer floorplan specifications and the Washington Convention and Sports Authority quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

Safely loads and unloads supplies and materials. Sets up, cleans, and removes equipment and furniture for both indoor and outdoor events, including, but not limited to, basketball flooring, bike racks, barricades, traffic cones, staging, turnstiles, movable wall partitions, dance floors, chairs, risers, tables, etc. Provides and places water service for event sets, podiums, and coolers. Provides and places linens in event spaces and ancillary spaces as requested. Performs full break-down and refresh of event sets to include adjustment of all leased furniture. Performs minor repair work on equipment when requested. Cleans furniture and checks for damage; advises supervisor of repair needs and/or replacement. As scheduled by event changeover schedule and calendar, assists in clearing and resetting of assigned leased spaces. Assists in monitoring Event Services supply inventory. Assists in equipment storage and maintaining order in service corridors. Reports facility and/or equipment damage to supervisor immediately. Performs a variety of related tasks and duties as assigned. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent; AND Experience in set-up activities; OR Any combination of related experience, training, and/or education. Experience reading and understanding basic floor plans.
