Founded in 1876, Hodge Foundry has been a fixture in the Greenville, PA community for over 145 years. Today Hodge Foundry specializes in highly engineered complex Grey and Ductile Iron castings and is the only foundry in North America capable of casting parts from 60,000 to 200,000 pounds. Hodge Foundry continues to supply castings for the global markets of mining, power generation, gas compression, heavy industrial equipment, and infrastructure.

Job Title: Overhead Crane Operator
Description:
Operates cab mounted overhead crane to safely move and position loads to support the operations of the various departments throughout the Foundry. Performs daily inspections of the crane and reports issues to appropriate personnel. Assess rigging of loads to ensure safe lifting and operations Communicates effectively with other employees on the floor to ensure safe lifting and operation of crane Move flask equipment, lift patterns, set cores into molds, and keep sand mixers full Tap iron out of furnaces, pour iron into molds, move/set weights and gate boxes Pull hot castings out of sand, hold flask equipment over shaker while castings are being shaken out Essential duties:
INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE ALL OF THE CRANES IN AN EFFICIENT AND SAFE MANNER WHILE MEETING PRODUCTION DEMANDS. MUST BE ABLE TO MANIPULATE CRANE CONTROLS AND MEET REQUIREMENTS FOR OVERHEAD CRANE OPERATION. MAY BE REQUIRED TO MOVE BETWEEN CRANES DURING HIS/HER SHIFT. THE CRANES ARE NOT ASSIGNED TO INDIVIDUALS. PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
