Acuity, Inc. has an opening for a Business Analyst/Scrum Master to support a very visible government client. In this role, you will serve as the Business Analyst and Scrum Master in support of a clients Google Cloud Platform (GCP) implementation team. The Business Analyst has deep customer knowledge and an excellent ability to transform strategic intent into fully elaborated requirements in user stories, feature specifications and acceptance criteria. Additionally, as Scrum Master you will facilitate the teams agile ceremonies as they work through the story backlog via sprint planning and execution. Responsibilities: Owns, manages, develops, and prioritizes product backlog of user stories. Clearly communicates the requirements to the team and works with individual team members as needed to explain requirements. Helps stakeholders envision how their processes will change with the implementation of the solution. Establishes user story acceptance criteria and accepts user stories into the baseline. Helps to define sprint goals for their project, and acts as the proxy product owner to accept sprint delivered development. Assists development teams in researching, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues, documenting solutions, and managing bug fix release cycles. Able to interact with technical staff and work collaboratively to define technical solutions to solve business needs. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously with strong time management skills. Facilitate client-facing meetings to understand requirements and help prioritize organizational strategies and plans. Coordinate and lead project team meetings with technical staff and other key stakeholders. Assist the team lead in preparing project status reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information. Familiarize with and take ownership of the customer onboarding process Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with experience in a related Information Technology field Certified Scrum Master or equivalent certification Experience in gathering requirements Experience writing user stories, including acceptance criteria Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts Able to take initiative, manage own workload, and assume responsibility for tasks Able to multi-task, handle multiple projects, and meet internal and client deadlines Experience with Agile methods and tools, with strong preference for Jira experience Prefer experience in agile development roles including Scrum Master or Product Owner, Knowledge of challenges and opportunities faced by DevSecOps agile teams. Previous experience working with Government clients is highly desirable Previous experience working on teams that implemented cloud solutions e.g. AWS, Azure or GCP Strong prioritization skills and ability to gather information quickly to re-prioritize in a dynamic environment Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs to be a successful advocate for the customer Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship-building skills, coordination, and people skills to promote the improvement of relationships between team members and the overall organization Strong business writing skills Preferred Skills Familiarity with Federal Government clients Expert in Agile Methodology Business process engineering experience. Organized, controlled, engaged, polished Effective meeting management Ability to be decisive Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit Clearance Requirement: Must
