As a
Moldmaker , you will support the Molding business unit and be responsible for repairing a wide variety of highly intricate and complicated tools, meeting extremely close tolerances and performing highly skilled fitting, adjusting, and timing.
In this role, you will:
Complete injection mold maintenance and repair Accurately record and document tool repairs in asset management software Identify improvement possibilities for tool development Read and comply with work instructions and checklists Accurately record and report hours worked Adhere to all safety policies; including wearing personal protective equipment when required Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements Understand customer needs and the core business markets served Participate in required company meetings Maintain an organized work area (5S) Participate in the Operational Excellence Program To succeed in this role, you have:
2 years of technical/trade school 5+ years of bench experience Advance knowledge of plastic injection mold fit/form/function including hot runner systems, sensors, servo motor, and hydraulic integration. Understanding of quality procedures Ability to read prints Knowledge of CAD software Prior work experience operating grinding equipment, manual mills and lathes, CNC mills, EDM, etc Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of engineering and tool design required Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship building and coaching skills
