Description
The
Financial Specialist Lead
is responsible for driving day-to-day operational excellence by keeping the banking center in compliance with all bank policies and procedures. The individual contributes to a positive customer experience by processing transactions, opening deposit accounts and delivering exceptional customer service. The individual has the opportunity to work closely with the banking center manager by mentoring other team members and assisting with complex transactions or problem resolution. Additionally, the individual will work collaboratively with the banking center team to ensure that our customers get access to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs. Additional responsibilities include the following:
Processes transactions diligently and in accordance with established policies & guidelines
Balances transactions and cash substantiating transaction negotiability and an adequate audit trail
Balances end of day processes and teaches other to balance end of day processes
Makes decisions and approves higher level transactions and tasks within established guidelines
Uncovers customer expansion opportunities and refers customers to proper bank personnel
Assists customers with the opening of deposit accounts and ancillary deposit services
Performs account maintenance and thoroughly researches and resolves customer service issues as well as outages
Mentors/trains new employees and shares the ANBTX culture
Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED
4+ years customer service in new accounts; 4 years account opening
Basic knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation and systems; some knowledge of retail products and services; proven customer service and interpersonal skills; effective selling, cross-selling and referral skills; strong mathematical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills preferred
Skills:
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite; basic keyboarding and calculator skills; must be able to do simple math
Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and written communication
Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30 lbs.
Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential functions of the position
