Position Overview: As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate with data product owners, platform engineers, and other stakeholders to design and develop data pipelines and solutions that support the organization's data-driven initiatives. Your role will involve creating scalable and reliable data products while ensuring performance, security, and alignment with governance standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, youll translate business requirements into technical solutions that drive strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and products to meet organizational data needs. 2. Partner with regional data teams to promote consistency and global utilization of data solutions. 3. Ensure alignment with governance standards by collaborating with the data governance team. 4. Work alongside data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. 5. Develop and promote best practices for data pipelines, data products, and security standards, helping to implement these practices. 6. Enforce data privacy and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Database Engineer, or similar role, with expertise in designing and building robust data platforms. Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Blob Storage. Hands-on experience with ingesting data through batch processes, web services, and streaming methods, as well as handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL and Python, with experience writing and optimizing complex queries. Solid understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and data warehousing principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize data platform performance. Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork across cross-functional environments.
