DevOps Engineer / Principal DevOps Engineer

Description
Essential Functions: Plan and evolve processes and infrastructure
to execute programs supporting rapid capability maturation and deployment. Integrate development pipelines
leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration/test frameworks. Define and implement standards
for build, deployment, provisioning, and monitoring for the program. Ensure implementation
of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage with automated testing for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Work as part of an Agile development team
to deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management framework. Build and configure delivery environments
supporting CD/CI tools using an Agile delivery methodology. Create scripts and/or templates
to automate infrastructure provisioning and management tasks. Collaborate with development teams
to maintain and add to an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) system. Work with vendors and IT personnel
for problem resolution. Monitor and support
all installed systems and infrastructure. Develop custom scripts
to increase system efficiency and reduce human intervention time on tasks. Contribute to the design
of information and operational support systems. Install, configure, test, and maintain
operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Oversee security, backup, and redundancy strategies
for the company. Evaluate application performance , identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement them with the help of developers. Facilitate Quality Management System Committee
in various quality initiatives to ensure alignment with the overall Long Wave Inc. business direction. Build Metric Reporting Infrastructure
ensuring that sites have an effective method to collect, interpret, and report accurate business and customer performance data. Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Active DoD Secret clearance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management. For a DevOps Engineer :
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of software development experience; 0 years with a Master's; or 6 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
For a Principal DevOps Engineer :
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of software development experience; 3 years with a Master's; or 9 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Administration experience
with Linux, Windows Server, and Windows 10 and greater operating systems. Experience in an Agile software development framework . Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite
(Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence). Security+ certification
(not needed to start but must be obtained within 6 months). Preferred Qualifications: Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
(must be able to obtain/pass a polygraph). Continuous Integration / Continuous Development pipeline experience . Experience building applications
using Bamboo, Jenkins, or similar tools. VMWare Certification or Experience
(vRealize Automation (vRO), vRealize Orchestrator (vRA), vSphere Center). Container management
using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) preferred. Experience in secure virtualization and containerization system design . Experience administering virtualized or containerized systems
in VMWare and Docker. Scripting experience
with PowerShell, Ansible, Node.js, or Java. Source code management
using Git/Bitbucket. Experience automating tasks
using Bamboo, Ansible, and/or Terraform. Knowledge of working practices
such as Git-Flow and release schedules. Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting networking , including subnetting, VLANs, and VPNs. Experience in secure network architecture design .
