SUMMARY:
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within the Warehouse Department or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties. Competently able to work in at least two areas of the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. •Reads pull list, on stock requests, or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. •Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, pallet jack, or forklift. •Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. •Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area. •Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load for operators to move load to destination. •Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on pull list, on stock request. •Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. •Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together. •Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products. •Cross train in at least two areas of the warehouse; i.e. Shipping and Receiving Departments. •Computer movements and transactions. •Assists with yearly inventory.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer knowledge.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software; and Word Processing software.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
