**Our NORAD Operations Group** **Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Centers Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).** **Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:** **Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.** **Mitigation of orbital conflicts.** **Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.** **Operations and maintenance of classified communications.** **Software development and integration.** **NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:** **Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado** **Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado** **Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska** **Vandenberg Space Force Base, California** **Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world** **Description of Duties:** The **System Administrator** supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will: The (CMAC) systems administrator provides advanced support for all systems to include Mission Assurance support requirements. Your duties include but are not limited to: Provide advanced Mission Systems monitoring and restoration at the site and enterprise level; managing all mission systems, user accounts, and profiles; receiving/assessing customer trouble-calls. Scheduling and conducting system patches and upgrades. Must have the ability to interface with a broad range of customers and effectively communicate, facilitate, and execute operations focused tasks on behalf of mission leadership. Properly document, report, and track system incidents and discrepancy reports. Typical Duties Include: Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues Configuring, optimizing, fine-tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware Performing system backups, recovery, and server builds Providing systems administrator support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems Managing file servers and network access to include analyzing, troubleshooting, and documenting system anomalies. Coordinates and schedules system upgrades and maintenance **The successful candidate will:** **This position reports to the Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station. Shift work is required to support 24x7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule. The selected candidate may be assigned as one of our teammate companies.** **Basic Requirements:** Clearance Requirements: Active Top Secret with SCI and NC2 eligibility IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) Educational Requirements: H.S. Diploma or GED 1 year of directly related experience. 3 years of general work history. Experience with system administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments. Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) and associated hardware. Experience with Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies. Experience with Windows System Administration. **Desired Requirements:** VMware Certified Professional (VCP)/VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) preferred. Advanced knowledge with network topologies and protocols. Specialized trouble ticket reporting systems experience and skills. This position is expected to pay **$80,000 - $95,000** annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. Position may require you to communicate verbally, and/or in writing, with a variety of government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels. **Work Environment** Work will be performed inside a large facility. Work environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Work assignments vary based on client requirements. **Physical Requirements** Position will require extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone. Position will require climbing, working at heights, and in small, confined spaces such as under raised floors, inside closets, and server racks. Position will require sitting, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching for long periods of time. Position will require work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions. Position will require lifting and/or transporting equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and the location of work, traveling moderate to long distances may be required. **Equipment and Machines** General office equipment, which includes telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment. Servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that supports the network environment. Operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment. May require operating motor vehicles. **Attendance** Regular attendance following the established work schedule is mandatory. Shift Work is required to support operations. The candidate chosen for this position will work varying shifts It is important to be able to work any shift/designated hours required. Position may require night and weekend work and could include travel with the military to participate in operations/exercises located in areas with field conditions **Travel** Commuting between locations may be required daily (~30-minute drive). May require operating motor vehicles for commuting between locations. **Other Essential Functions** Candidate must exhibit professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Grooming and dress are usually business casual but dependent on the clients standards. Must not pose a safety hazard to employees working in the same general area.
