The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct care services to individuals with intellectual / developmental disabilities, some of whom have behavior problems and/or medical conditions. Services are in the form of training, activities, & assisting with basic care. In addition to direct care, the position carries out goaled programs to encourage independent functioning in all aspects of daily living.
To be considered for employment the applicant must be in good standing with the NC Health Care Personnel Registry. Employee will be required to successfully complete training through our Staff Development department which includes, but is not limited to NCI (North Carolina Intervention), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting. The HCT I position requires frequent lifting and bending.
