Candidate will be an assistant to the batchmakers. They will be staging product for the batchmakers. Will be setting up, operating, or tending machines to mix or blend materials such as chemicals, liquids, color pigments, and rust proofing materials.
Responsibilities- Stage materials to process flow tanks using a forklift.
- Follow batch work instructions for disperser and letdown tanks for production.
- Perform necessary equipment clean up.
- Monitor and control high-speed mixers and pumps.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Help out with cleaning duties.
- 1-2 years of material handling/production experience.
- Ability to operate a forklift (stand up).
- Ability to lift 50-100 pounds.
- Ability to read digital scales and flow meters.
- Any compounding or mixing experience is a plus.
The building is less than 5 years old, providing a modern and pleasant working environment. Work EnvironmentThis is a chemical manufacturing environment with a distinct smell on the production floor. The warehouse is temperature controlled. The dress code includes long pants, long sleeve shirt, and closed toe and closed heel shoes. The company provides boots for employees. The shifts are as follows: 1st shift: Mon-Thurs 5:45am-4:15PM, 2nd shift: Mon-Thurs 4:00pm-2:30am. Overtime on Fridays as needed.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.80 - $22.00
