We are seeking a qualified and experienced Internal Auditor to oversee Human Resources compliance audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing HR practices and compliance, playing a critical role in supporting 3 scheduled HR audits throughout the year.

Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Internal Auditor to oversee Human Resources compliance audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing HR practices and compliance, playing a critical role in supporting 3 scheduled HR audits throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal compliance audits for HR processes, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and internal company standards.
- Assess and evaluate HR policies, procedures, and documentation for compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Identify and report gaps in compliance, offering practical recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to gather necessary data, documentation, and insights for audit purposes.
- Review HR records such as employee files, payroll practices, employee benefits, and other HR-related documentation for compliance with company policies.
- Support HR leadership in mitigating risks related to compliance issues and recommend strategies for improving compliance programs.
- Provide timely and clear audit findings to management and work on implementation of corrective actions.
- Proven experience in internal auditing, with a focus on Human Resources compliance.
- Strong knowledge of HR regulations, including labor laws, payroll compliance, benefits, employee rights, and other related areas.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate audit findings to diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines.
- Onsite or hybrid work arrangement in NYC or MPK (preferred but not required).
- Experience in conducting audits remotely and managing compliance audits across different time zones.
