Cloud/DevOps Engineer - III

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud/DevOps Engineer with over 15 years of relevant experience to support the development and maintenance of a SaaS application. The ideal candidate will have expertise in infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps tools, and cloud platforms, with strong problem-solving and mentoring abilities. This role focuses on improving speed, scalability, and quality across the development lifecycle, fostering collaboration, and enhancing process efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, implement, and document CI/CD pipelines following industry best practices.

• Plan and prioritize tasks to meet overall project objectives and deadlines.

• Participate in effort estimation, approach design, and risk identification.

• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflows and automation.

• Troubleshoot and solve complex problems using scripting languages across multiple environments.

• Evaluate and adopt tools, technologies, and processes for speed, efficiency, and scalability.

• Mentor application developers on scalable and secure development practices.

• Provide support to increase speed-to-market and improve product quality.

• Work across multiple platforms and applications to understand dependencies and ensure seamless integration.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

• 15+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years working on complex systems.

• Proven depth and breadth in software engineering and system automation.

• Hands-on experience with:

• Infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform).

• Source control tools (e.g., GitLab).

• Containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, EKS).

• Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).

• Programming and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).

• Configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).

• Performance monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace).

• Code quality tools (e.g., SonarQube, Nexus Lifecycle, Contrast Security Protect).

• Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Rally).

• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Ubuntu, Windows).

• Familiarity with SQL/No-SQL databases and artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with REST APIs and automation testing.

• Familiarity with Ubuntu-based containers.

• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices and process improvement.

Education: Bachelors Degree
