Due to Mannik & Smith Group's continued growth in our Geoenvironmental Division, a new opening is available for a Senior-Level Project Engineer/Manager!
Key Responsibilities
You will lead a team that works on varied solid waste management-related activities including, engineering design and permitting, construction QA/QC along with certification and operational assistance at municipal and industrial solid waste facilities. You will also assist in business development activities, communicate with clients and regulatory staff, and mentor team members.
Perform a wide variety of project duties, including, but not limited to engineering design services, report preparation, permitting, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities
You will lead a team that works on varied solid waste management-related activities including, engineering design and permitting, construction QA/QC along with certification and operational assistance at municipal and industrial solid waste facilities. You will also assist in business development activities, communicate with clients and regulatory staff, and mentor team members.
Perform a wide variety of project duties, including, but not limited to engineering design services, report preparation, permitting, and environmental compliance.
- Develop project work scope and budgets.
- Manage projects involving multidisciplinary teams to ensure operations are ran efficiently.
- Understanding of all permits required for landfill construction and operations.
- In depth understanding / management of project budget.
- Ensuring deadlines are met, and planned operations are properly completed.
- Experience in Ohio landfill and solid waste management engineering is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage projects, site development, permitting, design, and construction quality assurance/quality control, preferably including acting as an Engineer-of-Record or Certifying Engineer.
- Candidate must be detailed oriented and have excellent communication and writing skills.
- Must be able to positively communicate & coordinate with clients.
- Civil Engineering degree required.
- Ohio Engineer Intern (El) certification.
- Ohio P.E. or desire to obtain a P.E. is needed.
