Senior Accountant

Soni is partnering with an industry leading Professional Services Firm in a search for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will oversee the financial operations of the organization, including the preparation of financial statements, month-end closing, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will be integral in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing key insights to support strategic decisions. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes, enhance efficiencies, and drive overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct mid-month reviews, analyzing vendor spend, budget variances, and trends for expenses, prepaids, and fixed assets.
• Prepare payroll entries and automate general ledger coding.
• Perform expense accruals for payroll and travel expenses, and assist with departmental flux analysis.
• Develop and document accounting processes and policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with departments (e.g., FP&A, HR, AP, Engineering) to support business processes and financial reporting.
• Continuously evaluate and implement process improvements and automation.
• Participate in external audits and assist with ad-hoc financial projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite.
• Strong systems orientation with a focus on process automation.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to present complex financial data to stakeholders at all levels.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls

Preferred:

• Previous public accounting experience
• CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
• NetSuite implementation experience

Compensation: $90,000-$110,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
