DISHER is currently partnering with a leading manufacturer of general-purpose engines in Grand Rapids, Michigan to fill their Calibration Engineer II position. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical responsibility for engine calibration from prototype stage through production all while supporting engine hardware development.

They manufacture and market a wide variety of engines for products such as motorcycles, jet skis, and ATV's. This specific division is responsible for the company's small engine development and testing. These engines are found in name-brand lawn mowers and outdoor power equipment.

What you will get to do:
- Provide engine calibrations to achieve emissions, performance, and functional targets
- Recommend changes to the calibration strategies, testing procedures, or engine hardware to achieve target objectives
- Perform divers test assignments while maintaining detailed test records
- Utilize precision test equipment and measurement devices
- Periodic traveling to test locations and suppliers
- Project handling and project documentation
- Compose technical documents and detailed test reports
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
- 4+ years of experience with engines
- Knowledge of fuel injection calibration strategies and technologies
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems and sensors
- Proficient with ETAS INCA or other calibration tool
- Experience with Engine Test Bed & Dynamometer Automation
- Knowledge of Design of Experiments
- Knowledge of CAN bus communication protocols, J1939 a plus
- Proactive, self-starter with a sense of ownership and accountability
- Must be focused, attentive to detail, and capable of learning complex systems
- Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations
