Sr. Electrical Engineer, Tesla Bot

The Low Voltage Hardware team designs the electrical "nervous system" of Tesla Robots. Our circuit boards control motors, sensors, LEDs, etc to help the robot move and understand its environment.
Responsibilities
- Start-to-finish hardware ownership: specification, architecture, design, simulation, schematic, layout supervision, manufacturing, bringup, and validation of circuit boards
- Collaborate with PCB layout, firmware, mechanical, program management, and validation teams
- Thoroughly document design requirements, calculations, validation results, etc
- Rapidly iterate as design requirements and features mature over time
- Circuit board design (Altium preferred)
- Strong understanding of analog & digital circuits (MOSFETs, op-amps, switching regulators, gate drivers, microcontrollers, SPI, I2C, component selection, power dissipation, etc)
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to tackle open-ended challenges using first-principles
- Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, electronic loads, etc)
- Experience shipping high-volume circuit boards is preferred
- Basic programming ability (Python preferred) is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

$112,000 - $228,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
