LOCATION: Aston, PA
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: On Site for the first 6 months. Hybrid once you are fully up to speed.
START DATE: January/February 2024
SHIFT: First Shift
TRAVEL: 5 county Philadelphia Area, all non-overnight

We are looking for an Estimator to join our growing team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilize electrical estimating software, ideally ConEst, to generate precise estimates and digital onscreen takeoffs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other relevant parties to gather essential project information and specifications.
  • Engage third-party estimating firms to review initial plans, allowing focus on key aspects of the proposal.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of the project scope.
  • Prepare and deliver bid proposals, including qualifications and clarifications, to clients and management.
  • Conduct comprehensive estimates for electrical construction projects, encompassing labor, materials, and overhead costs.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable estimates.
  • Maintain a historical database of costs and bid data to enhance future estimating processes.
  • Stay updated on technologies, industry trends, and materials affecting estimating practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical estimating, demonstrating a successful track record in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Trade licenses in New Jersey, Delaware, and various cities in Pennsylvania are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficient with electrical estimating software, particularly ConEst; experience with digital onscreen takeoff tools and BlueBeam is advantageous.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, codes, and electrical systems.
  • Capable of writing RFIs and formulating questions for clarity during the proposal process.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with the capability to perform well under tight deadlines.
