IT Project Manager (Temporary)

POSITION PURPOSE
The IT Project Manager (Temporary) is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of large and medium-scale technology projects that are cross-functional, complex, and involve multiple technologies.
This role is central to the coordination, management, and successful delivery of project plans, ensuring key milestones are met. The IT Project Manager (Temporary) will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, defining project requirements and creating detailed project plans.
As a highly collaborative leader, this individual will be accountable for the successful completion of project milestones and will regularly communicate progress to the Integrated Strategy Management Manager and other key stakeholders within the organization.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESULTS
- Lead and manage the end-to-end IT project lifecycle defining project scope, goals, and deliverables, and developing comprehensive project plans with clear timelines.
- Oversee project scope, resources, and quality to meet objectives, ensuring adherence to quality standards and coordinating with cross-functional teams for requirement specification, development, and testing.
- Build and manage project plans, identifying critical paths, deliverables, and completion dates.
- Manage key milestones, interdependencies, and schedules, collaborating with internal and vendor teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Effectively manage concurrent project objectives and deadlines. Identify and manage project dependencies to ensure the timely delivery of milestones.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring that projects are delivered within scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards and expectations.
- Partner and communicate timely and effectively with stakeholders, leaders, and technical resources to drive project delivery and ensure the successful achievement of project objectives and milestones.
- Prepare and present status reports to project teams and leadership, and relevant committees.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders, vendor partners, and project teams to deliver high-quality work that meets objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, leadership, vendor partners, and teams to build project plans, deliver milestones, and ensure high-quality outcomes
- Resolve conflicts and broker negotiations between Business, IT and Partners when needed.
- Escalate and/or communicate effectively to mitigate risks.
- Continuously assess methodologies and processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Facilitate and ensure effective change management.
- Propose changes to project methodologies and frameworks, promoting best practices for continuous process improvement.
- Continuously refine the tools and processes leveraged to ensure effective management of IT and Digital projects.
- Create change management plans for facilitating process improvement changes.
- Facilitate change - including, but not limited to, relationship building, strategic communication, removing barriers, providing training, modeling the change and behaviors, reinforcing, and coaching.
- Other duties as required.
- Proven ability to manage medium to large-scale technical projects from initiation to completion, with expertise in agile project management frameworks, processes and principles.
- Extensive experience in information systems implementation, migration, and upgrades.
- Strong change management skills, including the ability to create and facilitate change management plans that drive successful adoption.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence without authority and effectively interact with all levels within the organization.
- Collaborative team player, skilled in building relationships, fostering trust, and driving results in partnership with vendors, outsourced partners, and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
- Highly motivated and capable of working independently with minimal direction.
- Proficient in agile project management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology, Business or related field.
- 7+ years experience with the following: (1) managing multiple, large, complex cross-functional projects; (2) applying project management standard practices (e.g. systems and tools).
- Experience in managing IT Systems implementation and migration projects.
- Working knowledge of agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Project Management certification is a plus, but not required. Emphasis is on the demonstrated use of PMI frameworks, including agile.
- Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics Suite CE, F&O, O365, Azure) migrations and upgrades is a strong plus.
- Experience working with a nonprofit organization.
