Senior Buyer

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing and distribution company in the Kansas City area that desires to directly hire an experienced Senior Buyer in the 1st quarter. This is a full-time, onsite position with a growing company offering a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process, including sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor relations.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Monitor market trends and conduct research to identify potential new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred; commensurate professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in buying, purchasing, or procurement, with demonstrated abilities in sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor relations required.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to utilize procurement software and tools, to include proficiency with ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
