Senior Accountant

Join a team where you will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced financial concepts and techniques to enhance business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute a range of accounting and finance activities including financial analysis, journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Support cost accounting, inventory management, mergers & acquisitions, inter-company billing, banking activities, fixed assets, lease accounting, internal controls, and sales & use tax.
• Participate in cycle counts and audit physical inventories across various company locations.
• Prepare and post essential journal entries to ensure accurate accounting records.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts, maintaining comprehensive documentation for all assigned accounts.
• Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Sales & Use Tax, including statutory filings.
• Prepare supporting schedules for external reporting requirements such as audits, bank covenants, and statutory surveys.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and automation.
• Consistently deliver results that meet business needs and foster a collaborative team environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial statements and comprehensive understanding of financial reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years in public or corporate accounting.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 15%.
• Experience with systems such as IFS, Epicore (Eagle or Prophet 21), BI, or similar.
• ERP implementation experience across multiple locations.
• Ability to function effectively in a highly matrixed organization across diverse functional, business, geographic, and cultural boundaries.
