Food and Beverage Internship

Madison Night Mares/Madison Mallards are seeking full time Food and Beverage interns. Food & Beverage interns will help oversee all aspects of Food & Beverage throughout the ballpark.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Help Oversee all aspects of Concessions for Madison Night Mares and Madison Mallards games with Food & Beverage Director, Lead Beverage Manager,
  • Responsible for inventory and receiving of food and beverage and foodservice products associated with the running of the facility.
  • Responsible for developing, and management of Food & Beverage staff - Provide insight for improvements in all facets of event planning and execution
  • Become knowledgeable with Stadium Point of Sale Systems and key troubleshooting needs.
  • Lead set-up and closing of all Food & Beverage areas for each event.
  • Generate and Maintain Stock Inventory Sheets per Each Game Day Event
  • Promote teamwork, and a positive work environment among employees to be an employer of choice and create an excellent guest experience.
  • Work with management to schedule and review part time staff for events
  • Provide Insight and recommendations for concessions and hospitality improvements throughout internship
  • Work with Premium Seating/ Hospitality Interns to provide a unique and unforgettable guest experience.
  • Attend scheduled Sports Business classes, produced for the benefit of the Intern class.
  • Work the majority of Madison Mallards and Madison Night Mares games.
  • Accept and abide by all terms of the Intern Code of Conduct.
  • Accept and abide by all terms of the Mendota Hospitality Intern Handbook

Required Skills:
•Ability to think on one's feet and problem solve in a fast paced environment.
•Excellent communication skills & customer service skills.
•Willingness to work outdoors rain or shine as well as a kitchen environment.
•Ability to lift 100 lbs.
•Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to last minute changes.

About the Madison Mallards & Madison Night Mares:

The Mallards are one of the largest and most successful summer collegiate baseball teams in the nation attracting more than 200,000 fans each summer. The Night Mares debuted in 2024 as an inaugural Northwoods League Softball team. In just one year, they became the highest attended summer collegiate softball team and look to continue to grow in year two. The Mallards & Night Mares annually hire more than 20 intern positions for the season, who may also have the opportunity to gain experience at other Madison based teams & events throughout the summer. Many of our full-time staff completed an internship or seasonal position with us prior to their full-time employment. Former interns have gone on to work for the Carolina Panthers, Milwaukee Brewers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Green Bay Packers, and various minor league and summer collegiate league teams across the nation.
