Title: Donor Stewardship Coordinator

Reports to: Director, Donor Relations

Job Summary: The Donor Stewardship Coordinator serves as a stewardship and Moves Management strategist and project manager. This position is responsible for articulating and stewarding our donors' experience by encouraging their support of The Heritage Foundation through identifying and communicating the impact and progress toward shared goals and priorities.

Under the leadership of the Portfolio Management Director, the Donor Stewardship Coordinator works directly with the Major Gifts team to develop a best-in-class donor experience by identifying engagement and stewardship opportunities for some of The Heritage Foundation's most generous donors and prospects. In coordination with internal partners, this role includes building and executing Moves Management strategies, proactively identifying opportunities to connect donors to aligned priorities, and developing and executing individualized stewardship programs for top donor partners.

Job Duties:

  • Collaborate with gift officers to deliver a best-in-class stewardship experience to assigned prospects and donors, including the project management of high-level donor recognition activities and outcome reporting to donors.
  • Serve as the primary strategy liaison between capabilities and departments to ensure effective cross-organization collaboration.
  • Work with the General Counsel's Office to ensure compliant, accurate, and clean proposal and stewardship products for donor partners.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of donor partners and priorities through participation in strategy sessions, monthly and quarterly portfolio reviews, and regular communications with assigned gift officers.
  • Track all action items, prepare the team and their collaborators for strategy and donor briefings, and coordinate internal and external meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required

Experience: Two or more years of experience in a relationship or project management role in a fundraising setting, or related position within a marketing, sales, or business development environment

Communication: Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset

Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Suite fundraising CRMs

  • Strong attention to detail in all methods of communication.
  • Proven experience in proactively driving multiple concurrent projects to completion through continuous transformation and an entrepreneurial approach.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is $54,000 - $60,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate, and the final salary offered to a selected candidate depends on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, and other qualifications; internal and external market pay for comparable jobs; and level of hire based on aforementioned qualifications.
