  • Ensuring all production for assigned products is completed on a daily basis

Position Summary

Henri's Bakery and Deli has been an Atlanta institution for over 90 years. The Company has tremendous opportunity to grow and expand our customer base through our current offerings as well as expanding into new verticals such as catering. We are looking for an energetic and driven Production Baker with experience in mixing and baking breads.

Core Responsibilities
  • Working with the A.M. production team, generally from 6 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • Manage the production & baking process from start to finish for a variety of bread products.
  • Maintain a clean working environment, including work station, cooler and freezer organization.
  • Assist team members with production of other baked goods as business dictates.
  • Assist in developing new processes, workflows and equipment that will help improve our production quality and efficiency.
  • Provide support for operational activities such as inventory, ordering and health & sanitation procedures.
  • Provide training on methods and procedures to help maintain and improve our quality and onboard new staff.
  • Assist in managing the schedule for the production team.
Qualifications/Skills Required
  • 4+ years of bread baking experience, preferably in a high-volume from scratch environment.
  • Overall understanding of bakery operations and processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to be standing and working on your feet for 8+ hours at a time.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to read and follow recipes and production schedules
  • Work in both warm and cool environment
  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy
  • Team player, willing to go above and beyond to help the team.
  • Culinary School Baking certification is not necessary but professional training is preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
WORKING ENVIRONMENT

This position will be working in our bread production facility located in Smyrna.
