Shift: Sunday 12 PM - 10 PM, Wednesday-Friday 12 PM - 10 PM, plus holidays
Guaranteed Hours: 38 hours per week
Experience: At least 1 year of CT experience
License: New York State License (L.R.T.) in Radiologic Technology
Certifications: - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography and CT - AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have: - Proficiency with Siemens Platform - ARRT CT certification - NYS DOH Radiography license to inject
Job Description: - Perform CT procedures according to the prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy. - Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. - Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on equipment to ensure functionality before any patient study is performed. - Inject patients with radioactive material as per the physician's order following prescribed protocols. - Observe all department documentation policies by filling logs, manuals, and charge documents, and report equipment problems to comply with regulatory agencies. - Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests while following radiation safety guidelines to comply with the ALARA principle. - Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation. - Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use. - Receive radiopharmaceuticals on the day of delivery and verify proper receipt per policy and procedure. - Verify the activity level of the dose prior to administration. - Exhibit appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs prior to, during, and after visits in the Radiology department.
Proficiency with GE UV and Epic Radiant Computer programs is preferred but not required.
