Position Overview
The Visual Merchandising Associate will report to the Vice President of Creative | Design and will play a key role in designing and implementing visual displays in retail stores, primarily located in New York City, with occasional travel along the East Coast. This position is based in NYC and focuses on creating compelling visual merchandising strategies that align with the brand identity and drive customer engagement.
Essential Job Functions Collaborate with the VP of Creative | Design to develop, implement, and maintain visual merchandising standards for retail stores and wholesale showrooms. Design, source, and execute innovative table settings, window displays, and seasonal visual concepts. Conduct regular in-person store visits in NYC and virtual visits for locations outside the city to refresh and update visual displays. Assist with planning and executing visual elements for special events and wholesale market showroom setups. Partner with store, showroom, and sales managers to create merchandising strategies that enhance the customer experience and maximize sales. Monitor expenses and ensure all visual merchandising projects stay within approved budgets and timelines.
Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in visual merchandising and display; luxury home industry experience preferred. Creative, innovative, and artistic with a practical approach to execution. Strong knowledge of fabrics, home textiles, and interior design/décor. Excellent color sense and ability to distinguish and coordinate colors effectively. Proficient in computer software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Word, and Excel; design illustration skills are a plus. Familiarity with analyzing sales reports and applying insights to improve merchandising strategies. Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Willingness to travel (up to 50%) and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
