Job Description:

Learning Objectives:

Peer Financial Coaches (PFCs) serve as first-tier financialaid representatives to assist students with navigating Financial Aid processesat the College. This can include applying for various financial aid programs, navigatingMy Tri-C Space and Blackboard, and applying for public benefits. PFCs will alsoassist the Student Financial Aid and Scholarships (SFAS) office in performingoutreach activities, such as campus events, website review, and outbound phonecalls.

PFCs are expected to become adept at learning andunderstanding financial aid programs and public benefit options to help meet a widerange of student needs, including: Completion of Financial Aid Applications and Documents (FAFSA, Scholarships, Verification Forms, SAP Appeals) Department Outreach (Campus Events, Workshops, Financial Literacy) Assist with SFAS Services Other department and office duties as assigned Minimum GPA of 2.0 and maintain semester enrollment of atleast 6 credit hours Maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to follow directions with attention to detail Proficient Computer and Technology Skills (Microsoft Office,Internet, Software Programs, etc.) Ability to work as part of a team Adhere tocollege's confidentiality policy; Successfullypass background/drug screening;
