What we’re seeking: A Senior Engineering Manager will be part of the Ethernet Delivery Team supporting all Ethernet-related ISP builds and transport-related engineering functions to aid in the common goal of reducing customer Ethernet order intervals. This position requires knowledge of Ethernet order processes, Ethernet transport engineering procedures, and a working knowledge of M6 Ethernet order flow. The Manager will manage several transport engineers and project managers responsible for the switch and other Ethernet-related builds. This will require coordination and support from a cross-functional team including, but not limited to, Outside Plant, Broadband, Transport, Power, Construction, OPCEN, CORE, and Provisioning. In this in-person role, you will be required to report to our Wallingford, CT location to complete your work responsibilities. What we need in you: A people leader who is comfortable interacting with all levels of the business and removing roadblocks and escalating as needed to meet objectives. This person will work as a team member with other managers and individuals in different departments. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple initiatives at once and working with vendors and cross-functional teams to meet deliverables. They will develop leadership reporting to ensure the business is aware of the status of the project/program. What you’ll do: Have responsibility for Ethernet Transport builds that support reducing the turn-up interval for Ethernet business customers. Network ownership, oversight, and advisory roles. Occasional travel for meetings may be required. Bachelor’s Degree required and/or 5 years of related experience. Knowledge of Telecommunications including Outside Plant, Inside Plant, Construction, and COE. Aptitude for learning company systems such as Infinium, LCAM, PATS, SharePoint, Varasset, etc. Financial Analysis - Must be comfortable facilitating projects and making financial decisions. Must be able to demonstrate a strong analytical aptitude. Strong English-language written and oral communication skills. Must be comfortable presenting and able to provide the appropriate level of materials to all audiences - executive, engineering, marketing, and customer.
