As a Product Owner, you are responsible for creating and executing your assigned product goals to help achieve Palco strategic initiatives. You are the key owner of your product plan and ultimately the leader of the vision that fuels the value we bring to customers and the Palco business. Key responsibilities include setting specific goals for your assigned product to produce outstanding customer experiences and competitive value within Palco's market space; prioritizing the product backlog to meet identified customer and business needs; and managing internal and external relationships related to the product.
Duties and Responsibilities Work with product, account, project management, customer service, payroll and other teams to understand business needs, product goals and contractual commitments for assigned products Act in the role of Product Owner in the Agile framework, whose primary responsibility is to bring the voice of the customer to projects creating value for customers and the business Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project, and create detailed epics and stories in the context of Palco strategic goals Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of backlog epics and stories to work on Plan and prioritize the product backlog for products, garnering alignment with stakeholders Work with the Product team to define product vision, roadmap and growth opportunities Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize epics and stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy Provide backlog refinement, iteration planning and elaboration of user stories Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI Align product releases and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities with business needs Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals Research and analyze market, users, and the roadmap for the product; implement usability tools and behavior analysis to ensure customer-centricity Establish expertise in the assigned product and external/internal customer personas Follow our competitors and the industry Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends Education and Qualifications
Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 2 or more years BA or greater in software product management or a relevant discipline Preferred: Experience with Medicaid programs, payment processing and compliance In-depth knowledge of Agile development process, values and principles; Agile Product Owner certification preferred Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills Familiarity and use of productivity tools such as Atlassian Confluence, Jira, Trello and Mural Ability to design wireframe mock-ups in Balsamiq or other tools Excellent organizational and time management skills Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills Creative thinker with a vision Attention to detail is a must Join Us
