Green Energy Consumers Alliance is a non-profit organization that enables people to makegreen energy choices in the most cost-effective, practical and seamless ways possible, and to advocate for energy policies that benefit the greater good. Our energy programs offer New Englanders:

Education & shopping tools for electric vehicles Green electricity for homes, offices, and whole communities Efficient electricity & heating Advocacy for climate-friendly energy policy Internship responsibilities include:

Perform daily administrative tasks to include data management and phone and email outreach; Assist with mailings; Assist Marketing Coordinator with planning events to showcase electric vehicles and renewable energy sources; Attend and table at events; Draft occasional communications for members and participants; Provide remote customer service to members and prospective members of various programs; General program administrative tasks and projects as assigned by supervisor. Required Qualifications:

Good written & verbal communication skills; Access to a setting that is conducive to providing phone and email customer service remotely (using software provided by Green Energy Consumers); Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to closely follow written procedures; and Experience in customer service. Desired Qualifications:

Familiarity with electric vehicles and renewable energy, with a desire to learn more; Fluency in a second language. Experience coordinating events of any size. Eligible Candidates Include:

Students or recent graduates of a college or a training program in Massachusetts, OR who are residents of Massachusetts. Prospective interns must also meet one (1) of the following: Students must have completed or will complete at least their freshman year of college the semester before the internship (24 Credits) or have graduated within the past year; If a student attends or attended a community college (or 2-year associate program), the student must have completed at least 24 credits; If a student has attended a training program, that program must have been completed within the last year; If a student attends an out-of-state university, they must provide proof of Massachusetts residency; OR Graduate students must be currently enrolled in their program or have completed it within the last year.

This 20 hour per week, 12-week internship will start after January 1, 2025, and end by May 16, 2025. The pay is $21.00/hr. In January, the position will spend more time in the office (up to 3 days per week) but afterward much of the job can be performed remotely. Travel to events and some weekend/weeknight commitments may be required. The internship hours can be fulfilled around your schedule, but must be during 8am-6pm M-F. The internship is contingent upon funding from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.
