Working together with the IT Manager I, the Technical Environment/Platform Specialist Lead demonstrates a depth of leadership and expertise related to Software Engineering, System Engineering, and IT Project Management information technology fields. The Technical Environment Specialist Lead is responsible for leading the environment specialist team in the creation, administration, coordination, maintenance, and monitoring of the environments directly supporting the EDR solution. These environments include: proof-of-concept, development, integration test, system test, system integration test, system acceptance test, performance test, and production. The Environment Specialist Lead will facilitate and attend meetings to effectively coordinate the activities for infrastructure and release activities during, and outside of, normal business hours. The coordination activities include scheduling and coordinating the outages for Application & OS patches/upgrades for infrastructure and release weekends. The Environment Specialist Lead will define, document, implement, and enforce configuration management processes and procedures to ensure the health and stability of the environments. Perform configuration and maintenance activities for ETS production and non-production environments. Must effectively multitask and make last minute accommodations for shifting priorities within a fast-paced environment. The Environment Specialist Lead is expected to work cooperatively with bureau and Technology Services Division (TSD) technical staff in support of planning and software implementation activities and promotes an environment and atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation consistent with the department's values among staff and managers. The Environment Specialist Lead promotes, establishes, and maintains relationships with representatives from across different divisions within the department. This position provides services which encompass the IT domain of Software Engineering.
