Job Summary

Manage and provide leadership and resources to the Maintenance Team in order that the facility and equipment are maintained to defined specifications, operate efficiently, safely and to production plan. Ensure that budgetary constraints are met. Direct and coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Department. Provide improvements in the facility's equipment reliability and the reduction of downtime from within the Sacramento manufacturing operation.

Essential Functions

Manage the Maintenance department, ensure safety of employees and equipment, and ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Develops, implements, and manages a sustainable preventative and predictive maintenance program. Maintains safety, quality and manufacturing effectiveness through daily troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to implementation of new processes, procedures, and manufacturing of new product. Manage the maintenance material budget, order materials, manage the storeroom and monitor consignment inventory. Manage the maintenance staff to ensure that plant efficiency and optimization projects are meeting schedule, budget, and specifications. Safety of people, equipment, and other maintenance related issues Development and career path of Maintenance Team Members. Administer Plant Policies and Procedures within the Maintenance Department Manage time appropriately and interface with internal and external resources to prioritize and resolve maintenance issues in an efficient manner. Utilize Continuous Improvement techniques to analyze work systems and identify ways to deduce the cost requirements of the business. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications

Required

Strong technical and problem-solving skills in mechanical pneumatic electrical, thermal, and hydraulic systems with 5 to 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environmental. Working knowledge of vibration analysis and thermal imaging. Knowledge and experience in managing projects in a manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge and experience in pulp and paper environment, especially maintenance, process controls and information systems. Strong leadership skills. Communication skills, both written and oral. Time management skills. 5 to 7 years' experience in managing projects in a manufacturing environment. 3 to 7 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance environmental. Preference to individuals with preventative maintenance and reliability backgrounds. Preferred

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred. Environment

Physical effort requirements may include lifting up to 25 lbs., extended sitting, standing, walking distances. Work environment may include heat, cold dust, and noise. Work schedule requires travel, extended work hours and/or schedule. Sit, stand, or walk 4 to 5 hours per day. Performs fine dexterity of hand movements for 2 to 3 hours per day. Performs other less physical movements for durations of 1 hour per day. Work environment may include high heat and humidity, cold, dust, noise, vibration, wet areas. Normal work schedule is 40 hours per week. Work schedule may require travel, extended work hours and/or work on holidays.
