In this job, you’ll act as the senior power engineer for the North Coast Region, helping to create a safe, reliable, resilient, and cost-efficient power distribution system. You will mentor the next generation of power engineers, encourage excellence in cost-effective engineering solutions, foster teamwork, advocate for new power system technology, perform detailed engineering studies, and encourage bold ideas that move us forward. Oversees engineers performing diagnostics, monitoring and inspecting equipment, and reviewing grid technologies. Leads the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless development and implementation of future technologies. Assists in engineering and business initiatives, including innovative procedures and design recommendations. Provides support for new equipment installation and startup, leading the handover processes. Leads junior engineers in investigating threats to the distribution system infrastructure. Gathers and correlates data using engineering studies and procedures. Facilitates training and professional development for engineering team members. Ensures protection of all physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, managing sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a scientific/technical/math field. Seven or more years of experience in engineering work in operations, production, construction, or maintenance environments. Possess a valid Class C Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with power system transmission or distribution analysis tools, such as PSLF, OMS, DMS, EMS, and CYME-D. Professional Engineer’s License. Experience leading projects and/or a team. Ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients and management. Ability to integrate work across relevant areas and develop business plans. Experience in project management concepts including planning and scheduling. Additional Information
