POSITION: Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor Long Term Substitute to cover a leave of absence January - April
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology Massachusetts DESE license in School Social Worker/School Adjustment Counselor, All Levels. Experience with positive behavior supports, pro-social skills development and parent training. Minimum three years experience working in schools. REPORTS TO: Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct service and consultation for students. Use a significant portion of each day in direct contact with students for counseling, planning or decision making. Provide classroom and small group instruction. Provide crisis counseling and referral when necessary to outside agencies. Mediate with students and staff to resolve conflicts that interfere with the learning process. Provide consultation to staff regarding student difficulty in the classroom and assistance in developing positive behavior intervention and support plans. Serve as a resource person to staff to provide information about behavioral, social, emotional matters which may have significance for student's program. Implement parent training workshops. Collaborate with school counselors, school psychologists, teachers, administrators and parents. All other duties assigned by the supervisor.
SALARY: Per LTS Agreement
