Michigan Direct Hire: Intellectual Property Legal Assistant

LHH is proactively recruiting for multiple direct hire Intellectual Property Legal Assistants. We anticipate that our clients will be reaching out to us to help fill these roles since these skillsets are always in high demand. Most of our clients include very well regarded law firms as well as sophisticated legal departments in some of the areas largest corporations.
If you have 2+ years of experience as an Intellectual Property Legal Assistant, and are looking to see what opportunities might be in the market, we want to hear from you asap.
Required Experience:
Assist with all procedural aspects of patent prosecution including preparing shells for, and filing applications, responses, IDSs, transmittal documents, etc.; collaborate with attorneys and paralegals as needed.
Assist in drafting correspondence to clients regarding the status of applications and patents.
Review and manage files and docket for deadlines, understand docket deadlines and action needed on each file; prepare shell prosecution documents.
Electronic filing with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Act as a point of contact for the clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
Assist with client invoice review, edits, and finalization.
Provide back-up support to team and project assistance as needed.
Other tasks as assigned including billing portions of your time.
Additional Skills :
Familiarity with USPTO procedures, rules and requirements; knowledge of U.S. and PCT patent rules and procedures.
Full and complete understand of the lifecycle of patent applications from start to finish.
Preference to candidates who have either a Bachelors Degree and or an ABA approved Paralegal Certificate.

$65,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
