Palm Health Resources is hiring experienced Neonatologist in beautiful Palm Springs, CA!
We are hiring a 6 month locum contract - FULL TIME - and also permanent candidates as well.
Current Team:
7 Pediatric Hospitalists (PEDS HOSP) 2 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Neonatologists Neonatology Locums Key Details:
Projecting 80-100 deliveries per month 25 OB/GYNs in a service area of over 1 million people PEDS HOSP are in-house 24/7, attending deliveries, admitting and caring for well-baby service, and caring for NICU babies overnight. Respiratory Therapist and RN attend all deliveries. RTs are certified for intubation. Neonatologist Role:
Day-to-Day: See all patients in the NICU, conduct neonatal and prenatal consults, and attend all high-risk deliveries. Evening/Night: Take call from home. PEDS HOSP handle straightforward NICU admissions; neonatologists come in for complicated cases. Facilities:
8-bed NICU Level II 14 LDRP rooms, 2 ORs, 4 ante-partum rooms, and 7 post-partum rooms Work Schedule:
24/7 shifts for 7 days every 2-3 weeks Day (8 AM - 5 PM): Admit to NICU Evening/Night (5 PM - 8 AM): PEDS HOSP handle admissions; neonatologists come in for complicated cases. Typically, calls are made before midnight if possible. Weekends: Round on patients and sign out to PEDS HOSP around noon. After-Hours Call Reasons:
Pre-term delivery ( Multiple delivery ( Significant anomalies Babies needing intubation or oxygen >30% Stabilization for transport to higher-level care
