Job Title : Chief Operating Officer (COO) Overview We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational aspects of our Smoakland group of companies. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the COO will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategies that drive business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. The COO will lead a team of cross-functional leaders and will provide overall leadership for SM’s end to end supply chain, inclusive of revenue generation with the Wholesale Sales team, planning, sourcing, extraction, manufacturing, warehousing, inventory management, distribution, vendor management, and sales and operations planning. The COO will be accountable for ensuring the effective execution of the company's operational goals and objectives. This COO plays an important role in developing and promoting a positive culture throughout the organization. Is an active communicator that can effectively engage with all organizational levels and supports the CEO of Smoakland in external investor and governance matters. The leader will be the driver in developing internal talent and recruiting new members that builds the foundation of a fully capable Supply Chain Operations team. The COO has expertise in Enterprise Systems deployment and possess demonstrated skills in P&L financial management. Able to coach and mentor members of other functional teams (Finance, Product Development, Human Resources, etc.) which leads to efficient and sustainable supply chain operations practices. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:

Collaborate with the CEO/President to develop and execute the company's overall business strategy and operational plan. Identify and prioritize key initiatives to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction. Develop and drive timely and well thought out initiatives that deliver the supply chain strategy and annual Executive plan. Support the CEO of Smoakland in making key business-related decisions and report to the Board of Directors on operations initiatives. Establish clear and stretching goals, communicate and delegate key responsibilities, and actively utilize all performance, development, and career tools to their full potential. Operational Leadership:

Oversee the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures across all functions, including manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail delivery, and software development. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization. Drive automation and innovation throughout the Supply Chain to reduce costs and drive scalable production. Responsible for operations and logistics of licensed active locations as well as responsible for near-term and long-term expansion locations (including out of state). Partner with other C-level executives to accomplish short and long-term operational goals, such as advancement of COGS related cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, and other relevant financial indices/metrics. Advance Enterprise Resource Systems that directly improve supply chain operations and company financial performance. Ensure municipal and state regulatory compliance. Develop appropriate Human Resources management initiatives. Oversee product development and quality assurance. Establish a relevant Key Performance Metric (KPM) process that reports on operational performance and develop plans to improve relevant key performance indicators. Support and drive organic and inorganic growth strategy initiatives, including leading the operational integration of acquired companies and ensuring supply chain effectiveness and readiness to achieve stated goals and objectives. Manufacturing and Wholesale Distribution:

Oversee the manufacturing operations, including production planning, quality control, and supply chain management. Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to manufacturing and distribution. Retail Delivery:

Oversee the retail delivery operations, including logistics, transportation, and customer service. Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to retail delivery. Software Development:

Oversee the software development operations, including product development, testing, and deployment. Ensure that software development meets quality standards and is aligned with business objectives. Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation within the software development team. Brand Management:

Oversee the development and implementation of brand strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. Ensure consistency in branding across all channels and touchpoints. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement. Leadership and Management:

Lead a team of cross-functional leaders, including department heads, directors, and managers. Develop and implement performance management processes to ensure accountability and excellence across the organization. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the organization. Develop, coach, mentor and recruit a capable and professional team. Hire and train employees by applying high standards for selection and continued performance. Drive positive employee relations and deliver sustainable results through being a positive role model. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field. 10+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or retail environment. Proven track record of driving business growth, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: MBA or advanced degree in Business Administration or related field. Experience in software development or IT operations. Experience in managing budgets and financial planning. Certification in operations management or supply chain management (e.g., APICS).
